• League Officer’s schools to instruct officials on fulfilling duties to their leagues will be held in August.

 September

• Be sure league rules are approved and each captain receives a copy.  

• Schedule for the complete season should be posted at the establishment or passed out to each team captain. 

• To retain complete coverage for bonding and awards, remember to submit the league certification application within 30 days of the first night of bowling.  

• Obtain complete information on individual membership application cards and send in no matter when the bowler joins the league. 

• Entries for 2009 USBC Open Tournament in Las Vegas, due October 1^st.

 October

• MDUSBC Adult/Youth Tournament at Parkway Lanes in Trenton, October 5 & 12. MDUSBC Junior Masters at Mayflower Lanes in Redford on October 25. 

• Tentative league prize list should be approved no later than five weeks after the start of the season.

 November

• MDUSBC Doubles Tournament at Bonanza Lanes in Livonia Nov 1, 2, 8 & 9.  

• MDUSBC Super Senior Masters at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights, qualifying rounds November 1st, Head-to-Head competition on November 2nd.

• Be sure to enter the MDUSBC Masters Tournament, so you don’t get shut out. 

December

• MDUSBC 500 Women’s Club at Classic Lanes in Rochester Hills on Dec. 14. 

• MDUSBC Queens Tournament at Van Dyke Bowl in Sterling Heights on Dec. 7.

• MDUSBC Masters Tournament entries close when 160 entries are received. 

• Secretaries should send in averages of all league members as of December 31, 2008 (Youth averages also required as of December 1^st).  

 January

• MDUSBC Membership meeting January 11^th.  

• MDUSBC Masters Tournament qualifying rounds January 17^th at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights, Head-to-Head competition on January 18 & 24.  

• MDUSBC Youth Scholarship Singles and Doubles Tournament at Troy Lanes in Troy on January 11, 18 & 25.

 February

• Qualifying rounds for MDUSBC Senior Masters Tournament (50 years old and over) February 7^th at Classic Lanes in Rochester Hills.  

• Senior Masters head-to-head competition on February 8 & 14. 

• MDUSBC Youth Scholarship Team Tournament at Troy Lanes in Troy on February 7, 14 & 21.  

• MDUSBC Women’s Championship Tournament to be held February 28th - March 22nd at Cherry Hill Lanes in Dearborn Heights.  

• Be sure to have league meeting before signing contract with the bowling center for 2009-10.

 March

• MDUSBC Senior Team Tournament at Taylor Lanes in Taylor on March 7 & 14.  

• MDUSBC Open Championship Tournament to be held March 28^th - April 19^th at Bowl One Lanes in Troy .  

• Annual yearbook average sheets mailed to league secretaries.

 April

• Please complete pre-printed yearbook average sheets before the designated deadline of April 15, 2009 (AVERAGES UP TO AND INCLUDING APRIL 1^st), making sure all required information is included and returned to MDUSBC office.  If secretaries have not received forms, they should call the MDUSBC immediately at (888) 753-6350.
