Sarah Jaeger of Highland, Jennifer Kiel of Livonia and Natasha Martin of Wayne each received a $1,500 scholarship from the Michigan USBC WBA at the annual meeting on Saturday, June 7 in Flint.
All are members of the Metro Detroit USBC Association.
Jaeger received her scholarship in the "Star of Tomorrow" category. She boasts a career high average of 211, high game of 297 and high series of 733. She is a student at University of Detroit Mercy studying communication and criminal justice with a GPA of 3.8. She plans on entering Michigan State University in the fall to pursue her masters degree in journalism.
Kiel earned her scholarship in the "Future Leader" category. Her high average is 175, high game 279 and high series 641. She has a GPA of 4.02 and will be attending either Grand Valley State or University of Michigan in the fall as a pre-med student.
Martin also received her scholarship in the "Star of Tomorrow" category. She averages 214, high game of 298 and high series of 765. She is currently attending Schoolcraft Community College and holds a full time job at the Michigan Humane Society. She has many bowling honors to her credit.
